+180 People who don't wear glasses/contacts: you've always wondered if they see without their glasses what you see when you put their glasses on, amirite?

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Yeah it's not even close. This might just be for people who are near sighted but when I don't wear my contacts I can't read words 2 ft in front of me. If I put my glasses on over my contacts It's just super-focused

When I wear glasses I can't read two feet in front of me, it kinda looks like trying to open my eyes underwater. Super blurry. Is stuff blurry for you when you don't wear them?

Yeah. The only time I can get away with not wearing them is if I'm reading something within a foot from my face. Then things get progressively blurrier the further they are from me

not really. There is this kid who in Economics would just rub his glasses with his shirt, i guess cleaning it, and I wondered what was he seeing because he wears glasses for a reason but somehow he sees something the rest were not.

Pretty much, only it depends on if the glasses are for far-sighted or near-sighted people. It just looks blurry. Nothing here to see, people! Moving on!

When I was younger I thought that it is the same as squinting your eyes so I wondered why people with bad vision squint their eyes because I thought that would make things worse...but now I understand.

My vision is so bad, without my glasses I've lost the ability to see color in my peripheral vision. It's all a tan-ish colored blur. I'm 20/600 in both eyes, btw (meaning what most people see from 600ft away, i have to be 20ft to see it clearly.)
