+179 The Human Race is pretty hypocritical. For example when most people say that “everyone is entitled to their own opinion” what they actually mean is “everyone is entitled to their own opinion as long as I agree with it or it happens to be the general accepted standard opinion. If it doesn’t meet any of those two reasons they you’re allowed to bash it.” Amirite?

You're entitled to your opinion, but others are also entitled to bash your opinion.

Just because you're entitled to your opinion doesn't mean that others aren't entitled to their opinions about your opinion

I'm pretty tolerant of other people's opinions, but I'm still going to make it clear that I disagree.

I only bash people's opinions if they present it in a really douchey way, like if someone were to say "God obviously isn't real and anyone who thinks otherwise is completely delusional." And even then, I wouldn't call it bashing, I just let them know how stupid and ignorant they sound.

Others in fact are entitled to have opinions about your opinion. What are you going to do? Force them to think otherwise? No. That would be oppressive, not to mention arrogant to think your opinion cannot be questioned or opinionated upon. You hold that same right too, not just others. If you don't want others to have opinions of your opinions then you might as well not voice your opinion.

Maybe so, but that is their natural way of handling that issue and it helps keep them alive and not segregated from the group. I don't get why so many people think that hypocrisy is this horrid thing. This, along with many aspects of people are perfectly natural.
