Not unless it's warranted. Like if someone asked you if you liked them and you told them no, that's cool. But if you just go around bashing on everyone, then no, you're just a dick.

Not really. Having your own opinions and not being influenced by others is great, but not thinking about the effect that vocalizing those opinions could have on others is a bit obnoxious. I'm not saying that you shouldn't do it, just... give a fuck.

Not always. There's a time and place - someone in a good mood asks for an honest opinion on their clothes, yes, tell them the truth, they'll be more open to criticism and they'll respect you for the telling the truth. But if a kid asks you if you liked the birthday present they got you, then be nice, it'll ruin their day if you tell them you hated it.
