Even when the most "dangerous" chemical being used is water. smirk2

DI water is actually pretty dangerous

People die by water. It's called drowning.

And deionized water can absorb the nutrients on your skin, shriveling up your hand severely.

Or I'll have to itch my nose the second I pick up acid.

A girl in my grade adjusted her goggles while there was a beaker of acid in her hand. That's the first and only time the chemical showers in my school were used.

Oh, god, was she okay?

Yeah, most of it got on her hair. It did bleach it though.

One of the last days of senior year our AP Biology teacher let me and a few of my friends stand under the safety shower with our bathing suits on. It was really cold.

We were in the middle of a chemistry lab when our demonstrator told us about a girl in America who was doing an experiment without a lab coat on, she did something wrong and the experiment exploded, her jumper caught on fire, she ran the wrong way from the shower, and died. Was great fun trying to carry on with our experiment after that little story.
