+507 If Hogwarts was a regular school, Trelawny would teach English because she'd always find symbols that don't actually mean anything, amirite?

Oh good, I thought it was just my school.

As a literature teacher myself, I had to NW it...but I did enjoy the reference to Trelawney - she is batshit crazy, that's for sure! haha

I feel like you're someone who puts noses in smileys, like :-)

One doesn't need to manually write out smileys these days haha, since they're all pre-prepared. But if i do make one, I usually do put a nose in.

http://ctrlv.in/130356 It should really be a big circle for the teacher and after several zoom ins, a tiny circle for the author. My Lit teacher (when I used to take lit) carpet bombed the shit out of everything, I'm sure she must have gotten what the author meant.

Can I say, as a teacher in training, that your teacher's analytic skills are shitty. She's teaching you trial and error. She should be teaching you shit which forces you to extrapolate information, identify patterns, note points of difference, infer, discuss and quantify your responses in a way which isn't far-fetched and snobbish. Not this 'blue curtain' shit. It's teachers like your's which give us a bad name. /rant

Yeah I know. She's that way because she's the deputy dean and wants to show off how deep she can go. My teacher befroe that was actually pretty good and told us why the stuff was so, but this one just told us stuff and couldn't give us reasons cos there weren't any.

And no one really cares about Divination.

A lot of what they say makes sense. Ex: in Psycho, the woman was wearing a white bra, but after she stole the money she was wearing a black bra, a symbol of "turning to the dark side." I would have never caught onto that even though she was in just a bra an awful lot right before and right after she took the money, but I don't think it's something my English teacher pulled out of her ass.
