-100 Women should not only be paid the same as men with the same job, but more if they must wear makeup and spend more money to dress professionally, amirite?

oh I don't know do the costs of suits really differ between genders? and some people already have makeup and it's definitely not for only job purposes well usually I think the pay should depend more on efficiency and qualifications now I'm feeling a little worried do some jobs require makeup now?

Hooters does! Not that I would know or anything >.> There's not really any jobs that specifically say you have to wear make up, but I know a lot of girls who have been sent home from work on days they don't wear make up because "it makes the store look bad when the representatives look bad"

If that was the case, that make-up and extra beauty costs were work-related, they can be considered tax deductable.

But... why?

Because everything you love is a lie. That's why.

If you don't NEED to buy the expensive stuff. Sure, highest end female clothes are often more expensive than highest end male clothes, but you can get clothes of the same quality for much less. The only difference is the tag. If you're in a job where you need to do this out of your own pocket, you're either already paid a lot and can easily afford it even with a 20% pay cut, or are like a salesperson who can wear a $20 suit. It's always a choice whether or not you want the most expensive suit in the store or one equal to a man's suit. Another common occurrence is that both gender's clothing are the same price, but they make more expensive womens' suits as well. I'm not going to state the reason because I know I'll get flamed for it. Thus, women should be paid just as much as men. the only argument against it is pregnancy leave, and that accounts for only 10% (I calculated in an older post) and even that's weak because if women stopped having children there wouldn't be a next generation.

Honestly, equality is a two way street. You can't follow "women should get equal pay" with "except really they should get more because they have make up and nice clothes and stuff", that's the exact same sexist shit you just spoke against. Not only that, but men have to look nice and presentable on the job too, women aren't the only special little snowflakes that have to put effort into getting ready. Men and women should have equal pay for the same jobs, no one should get any benefit over anyone else simply because they're a certain gender, and that's really all there is to it.

As soon as I saw 'not only', I knew this was going to be good...
