A lot of the time I think it's the other way around. I had the swipe down bar on my OG Atrix before iPhones got the update. Sort of the same deal with the whole panorama mode with the iphone 5. As a youtube spoof put it "the panorama mode is completely revolutionary and unlike any free app you could have downloaded three years ago!"
