+35 Some users have forsaken Amirite and the new admin way too easily. Much of what he/she's done is justified. It's understandable to remove spiteful posts because it creates an environment that is impossible to enjoy. If we keep up this negativity, there is no hope for this website. We need to give the new admin a chance, Amirite?

Wait wait wait... New admin? Have I been living under a rock?

by Anonymous 11 years ago

No you would need to be living under like 174 rocks to not have heard about this

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Eh, it's not much of a big deal for me. The biggest joys of amirite are the users I've met goo I love you guys! (certain people d)

by Anonymous 11 years ago

While I agree and don't get on here as much as I used to. I feel like this was a big gamble. Amirite is a touchy, whiny, close-knit community that is not fond of outsiders or change. Not trying to defend it. But it is what it is.

Way to copy and paste your previous comment.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I thought it was a good response to both comments. I had a much longer response on a different post. But it got deleted and I didn't feel like writing another

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Sometimes change is a good thing. Maybe now more users will be active that aren't touchy, whiney, elitists.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I don't really fall into those categories as even though i've been on here for over 2 and a half years. i've never truly gotten into amirite as many others do. however, look at the highest scoring posts today, 29, 21, 19, and 16. Everyone is leaving, this is one of the fastest mass extinctions of a web site I've ever seen. This is not progress.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I love you, too. Let's all baker a cake of rainbows and have a massive hug orgy.

It's against free speech. Of course, it does not violate the right itself, but the principle is that you should be able to say positive and negative things, expecially about the government. If we can't speak out to amirite, then how will we be heard?

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Dude you've only been on here 17 days. You don't have a say.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

While I agree this is what I'm talking about

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Without meaning to you proved a point. This is why amirite? Is changing, and why hopefully, it will have more active and diverse users soon, and fewer of the same people with multiple accounts trolling people they don't like.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Listen here chick. People who have been on amirite a while are used to Anthony being the owner and everyone being a close-knit community. We don't like the changes this new admin is making. Simple as that. And I sure as hell don't like it when people who have only been on here a short time back up the new admin. Those people have no clue how awesome amirite used to be.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I know how awesome it was when I joined, and I too have been annoyed by posts being removed but in order to get better, in anything, things have to change.. The acclimation can suck, but without change there can never be progress.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

"God damn, this new admin isn't giving us a say and is taking away our freedom of speech. I thought amirite was for voicing opinions?" "God damn newbie, you have no say and I don't appreciate you voicing your opinion."

by Anonymous 11 years ago

do you think pinning everyone against the new admin is going to make this site any better? will it bring Anthony back? i just think this is something worth making the best of, and getting everyone taking sides and hating everyone is about as far from as a solution as it gets. i've only been a user for a few weeks. that doesn't mean i have no voice

by Anonymous 11 years ago

i've only been an active user for 17 days, but i've been on amirite for more than a year before that

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I would be fine with it if they had let the users who don't use the forums or chat know what's going on a month ago when it all started, and if they were at least open to people's opinions. Those are the main two things, at least for me.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

If this was done, then I think they're would be a lot less K.O Couldn't they just sent us a message about what the fuck was happening? I mean it's a sudden change that we were NEVER informed about. I think that's what pissed people off the most.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I don't think I've seen all of the posts about it, probably not, but to me this is similar to some of the changes that Anthony made that didn't go over so well. There were good and bad posts and comments about it, but a whole bunch of them weren't deleted as far as I know

by Anonymous 11 years ago

No.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

While you make a persuasive argument for your case, I still stick by my convictions

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Ok.
