+75 Sometimes you see someone with their dog and wonder what could have possibly possessed them to buy *that* dog, amirite?

... unless, of course, the person had no choice in the matter and was selected by the dog, from a panel of "eligible pet hosts" made available to homeless hounds by "pawsRus" ... just saying

Some people are smart enough to adopt a dog from a shelter :/ its not all about looks but giving an otherwise hopeless animal a second chance

I got my dog from a shelter. He was abused for almost 2 1/2 years. He's not the cutest and I really didn't even know what to do with him when I first got him (mostly because I'd never had a dog before) but I now I don't know what I'd do without him. He's rough around the edges but he's so sweet and loving. It makes me sad to think that someone would do terrible things to him such as starving him and beating him. This really has nothing to do with anything. I just really love my dog.

We got my dog after she was rescued from a drug house where they tried to kill her at age 6 weeks. She's a pitbull so everyone was like "omg she's gonna grow up to take your face off" and now she's 3 years old and the gentlest, sweetest pup around :') I really love my dog too
