Assuming we still could only see by light, we'd actually only be able to see via something that didn't exist. That sounds awesome.

Wait OK, I've been thinking about it more and I wanna make sure I got it right. Is it: because light is photons, which exist, and darkness is just lack of those, it doesn't truly exist. So if darkness was let into our room and turned things dark, darkness would actually be made up of something and light would be the lack of it, so we'd see from something that doesn't exist? Amirite?
