+252 Regardless of who wins, there will be an outcry for a recount, amirite?

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Isn't this the third 'POTD' today?

by Anonymous 11 years ago

"How many potd could amirite post if amirite could post potds." The answer? 3.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

There were 2 yesterday because it was decided to change it. But this one is the correct (and only) POTD for November 7th. You may be confused because of the daylight savings change?

by Anonymous 11 years ago

A) //Why do you assume there would be a recount?// B) //Why would that be a bad thing?//

by Anonymous 11 years ago

A) Because there is literally always a recount. B) No one said it would be a bad thing, it's just a fact.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

A) No there isn't. Bush-Gore was a recount, but only because of how close it was. The past few elections have been so recognizably one candidate or another that recounts aren't needed.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Sorry, I should rephrase- there is literally always //outcry// for a recount, as OP said.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I DEMAND A RECOUNT ON THE OTHER POTDs TODAY

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I was going to post the exact same thing.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Why is this even post of the day? Like, come on, now... it's POST of the day, not POSTS.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

hmm I too wonder whats been going on with the POTDs lately. I should be appointed POTD Finder.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I guess people thought it was too hard and prestigious to get a potd when you look at the astounding quality of recent ones so they tried to lower the potd level so to speak.

You can tell the American election gets too much coverage when a Canadian makes a post like this about it.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Well if we can't be the best, we can be the most obnoxious.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

This was on the homepage **and** POTD'd on the same day. You can see both if you scroll down a bit.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Obama will win because once we go black, we never go back.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

*Canadian flag* YOU DON'T EVEN GO HERE!!! 'Mean Girls' references are the best

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Not if you say what the reference is.

I have a friend who was born and raised in Canada and she gets soo worked up over the election. Like REALLY worked up. The only information she basis her opinion off is from tumblr and says "I have the right to be worried since what happens in the U.S falls upon us too!"

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Congratulations Obama!

by Anonymous 11 years ago

As predicted, they're calling for a recount in Ohio. *Sigh* why is it so hard to admitt defeat?

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Why don't you let us know after YOU have spent the last year or so living your life campaigning tirelessly to win the highest political office in our country and debatably the most powerful position in the world, while having every single thing you say be scrutinized by the public?

by Anonymous 11 years ago

It wouldn't even matter if Romney won Ohio. He still lost. Romney only had 206.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I live in a republican state, so my Facebook is full of claims like "Obama won this election how he won the last one: by lying and cheating", people changing their profile pictures to upside down flags, and jokes about how the end of the world has started.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Mine's mixture of both here because I live in Florida, but surprisingly, most are supportive of the President. However, I think it's really rude to go to that extent the criticize the POTUS. To quote one of my friends, "He's the leader of our nation; have some respect."

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Funny that you say that because before the election ended everyone on my facebook was saying it was the end of the world if Romney got elected. I live in New York by the way.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

There was a lot of "I'm moving to Canada if Romney wins" on my newsfeed. When Obama won, it was "Yay, now I can continue to afford college" and stuff like that. I actually didn't see a single thing in support of Romney, although some people wanted other party candidates or just weren't voting..

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I live in Arizona. The "pull the brown guy over" state.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Also, I love how people are downvoting a lot of comments on this post simply because they don't agree. I mean, that's actually a legitimate reason, but why would someone downvote a comment saying congratulations to Obama? Even Romney politely conceded his loss, why can't other people?
