that's probably because if you're paid with money you have more options if you get coffee that's your only option

If i really wanted a coffee and didn't have the money for it i think a half hour would be worth it. Given i had the time. Granted, i've never worked in a fast food establishmen

say a cup of coffee costs 4 dollars you work half an hour at a fast food restaurant your pay should be 4 dollars You would rather get paid in 4 dollars than get paid with the four dollar coffee. Amirite? even though you'd be willing to buy coffee for 4 dollars

i find it strange that I agree with this, especially since I have the tendency to calculate how long I would work to earn things that I buy.
