+103 The youngest mother recorded was five. Another gave birth to her daughter at age 8 and her daughter gave birth at the age of 8 as well, making her the youngest recorded grandmother at age 16. It's hard to wrap your head around both these situations considering how different your life was at the ages of 5, 8, etc., amirite?

The five year old was from Peru and the 17* year old grand mother(she gave birth at 8.4 years and her daughter at 8.8) was from Nigeria

Maybe that article is talking about the youngest that is still alive today but what I found was closer to what fireflyrage said I just forgot to take into account the months so the youngest grandmother at Lear recorded was 17
