-33 It's disrespectful when people start displaying Christmas stuff before Remembrance/Veterans Day, amirite?

You must be Canadian. Canada has always seen Remembrance Day as very important. The most of the rest of the world is not raised to respect it as much as us.

I find its not a matter of how high it's held in society, people are still overlooking the fact that soldiers gave their lives for our freedom in multiple countries, in order to make money or look fancy. We have to remember that we wouldn't be able to do that if it weren't for those soldiers. It's not about making it a big thing, it's about doing them justice by waiting an extra day or week before starting to promote other holidays.

^Also, apologies for the bad syntax.

It's not that it's disrespectful, it's just stupid. In America, we've got Thanksgiving between Veterans day and Christmas, so we always wait until after Thanksgiving to put up decorations.
