but the plate is more stubborn and less forgiving it just lays there broken even after apologies feelings are a bit more flexible and are willing to mend

Some feelings never completely heal though. You can pick up the plate and glue it back together but that doesn't excuse the fact that you broke it in the first place.

true we can apologize to the plate and take actions to mend it then, we can hope that the plate acknowledges that we make terrible mistakes but will go to great lengths to help after all, plate isn't perfect either the damage is done but can make it stronger

what I was trying to say is that a sincere apology does make a difference and I feel like the post is undermining that idea apologizing serves a very significant purpose
