+124 Just because you told a few lies doesn't mean you're a liar just like telling a few truths doesn't mean you're an honest person, amirite?

...yes it does make you a liar. you could choose not to tell lies and be an honest person. but everybody does because it's a basic fact of the human condition.

Everybody lies sometimes, but that doesn't make everyone a liar. Everyone tells the truth sometimes but that doesn't make everyone honest. The way I see it, honest people and liars fall on a spectrum. People that don't have much of a social filter and "brutally honest" people might lean more toward the honest end, but they've more than likely lied before. Someone who is a compulsive liar would obviously lean more toward the dishonest end; They probably tell the truth sometimes, but that doesn't make them honest- my point being that acting a characteristic of something occasionally doesn't make you that something. Everybody tells the truth sometimes and everybody lies sometimes- I guess you could say people are honest liars, but that makes no sense because the words are completely contradictory. So my stance is that people fall on a spectrum, and which ever side they lean heavier to tends to be the label they get, but they're going to possess characteristics of the opposite side no matter what.
