Genesis 32:30 And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel: “For I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved.” Exodus 33:11 So the LORD spoke to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend. And he would return to the camp, but his servant Joshua the son of Nun, a young man, did not depart from the tabernacle. Exodus 33:20 But He said, “You cannot see My face; for no man shall see Me, and live.” John 1:18 No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him. 1 John 4:12 No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us.

I still stand with the birds of a feather comment I made I think it can apply to some of the verses I haven't read the entire Bible but there's probably more to some of those verses too I don't know if a couple of the ones you've listed have been taken out of context or not maybe someone who knows more about the Bible can explain better swt

In Genesis 32, Jacob wrestles with a form God, usually interpreted to be an angel. In Exodus, God and Moses talk to each other in the tent of meeting, but Moses does not see God. He was the closest person to seeing God on Earth, but he only saw the back of God as he passed by Moses on a mountain. So when John says that nobody has seen God at any time he is right. No one on Earth has seen God face to face.

Nice food for thought.

The one I don't get is Corinthians. I was taught by Christians that marriage is a sacred thing and something important. But then Corinthians comes along and says marriage is bad. It says that if you're already married, you shouldn't get a divorce but you should be aware that marriage is bad. I don't get it. I don't really like Corinthians.
