You're not who you dreamed you'd be as a child, amirite?
by Anonymous9 years ago
this is sorta off topic
but I had a dream I was saving these pigs from a carnivore
and there's another scene where a midget man in burglar clothes breaks my lamp and I chase after him
and he smelt like cheese
so I'm thinkin' I was the protagonist
and I'm hoping I'm the protagonist in real life too
so maybe I am who I dreamed to be
now that I think about it
this tidbit does relate to your post

I am freaking out because of the comment I made on a post a few weeks ago. And your dream is like a Werner Herzog movie I saw about a dream he had ...

The movie info is here and everything you say is in it and more...

that is kinda weird
but even then
I wouldn't be surprised even if both of us had a similar dream since we have so many of them
seems like something is bound to overlap

I had a dream that a guy was shooting me, so I killed him by cutting his colon in half. I was safe, I got a getaway from my gay friend, and I got to walk around with a scar on my face. It was a good fucking dream.
by Anonymous11 years ago
do you remember what you did with the colon after?
by Anonymous11 years ago
I didn't do anything with his colon after cutting it. It wasn't that squishy, either. It was made of plastic or something.
That is quite off topic.
I hope you were victorious.
I once had a dream that I had to get my leg amputated because I had a spider bite on my tummy ):

This is off topic as well but oh well. A really long time ago, I had a dream in which I was at this park a few blocks away from my house learning how to ride a unicycle from my brother's friend who has known how to for a while. In the beginning of the summer, a classmate of mine committed suicide and for a while all I could think about was what his dreams were as a little kid and how he would have reacted to being told he was going to get depressed enough to actually kill himself. So after a while I started thinking about what I would have thought of who I am now when I was younger and it occurred to me that I was not at all who I wanted to grow up to be and then I remembered that dream and I remembered telling my parents that I was going to grow up to be a clown so I could make other kids smile after I had that dream so I went out and bought a unicycle. So yeah I'm not really who I wanted to be at all but I do try to be sometimes. Sorry about the novel I just thought that this story was slightly relevant.

I forgot to hit the "reply" button. -_-

Wow, don't apologize, that was really lovely to read. I'm sorry about your classmate. What a sad concept about his dreams as a child.
Gah. There's something in my eye.
by Anonymous11 years ago
Sorry for being super depressing, but when I was a kid I didn't think I'd still be alive right now.
by Anonymous11 years ago
Why not? :c
by Anonymous11 years ago
Idk, just ever since I was little I've always had this feeling that I wouldn't be alive by the time I was meant to graduate high school. Obviously nothing happened, but that feeling is still there sometimes and I don't know why. I'm not scared of anything hurting me, it's just a persistent feeling in the back of my mind that I wasn't going to survive.
by Anonymous11 years ago
I had the same feeling. I was just never able to picture myself as a 22-year-old.
by Anonymous11 years ago
I have that same feeling too. I can't picture myself graduating high school in June or going on to college or getting a job... And I just feel like one day it's going to end.
by Anonymous11 years ago
I have the same feeling now. I absolutely cannot see myself anywhere past about my sophomore year of college - not living alone, not married, certainly not with children.
I just feel like that's because I'm not going to last that long.
by Anonymous11 years ago
I didn't think I was going to be either, I also thought I'd be a lot smarter.
by Anonymous11 years ago
As a kid, I dreamed that I would be the most beautiful and richest girl in the world. I would also stop aging at age ten so I could live forever and become a famous singer and open my own shop called "The Penny Store" where luxurious items would be sold for only a penny.
I had no concept of reality.
by Anonymous11 years ago
I would come to your Penny Store every day!
by Anonymous11 years ago
No, but I'm pretty sure my childhood self would be happy.

I am way different than how I thought I'd be. I used to be really shy and reserved and honestly, boring. I'm way different now. I am on the verge of winning the superlative for dirtiest mind in the yearbook. I don't know if I should be proud or not.
by Anonymous11 years ago
Definitely proud.
by Anonymous11 years ago
Proud it is then. :)
by Anonymous11 years ago
I always told myself I wasn't going to be lazy in school or do socially unacceptable things. Whoops. That certainly didn't happen.
by Anonymous11 years ago
I saw the capital "w" and the "z" in lazy and thought you were going to say you were a wizard.
by Anonymous11 years ago
Sorry to disappoint! D:
by Anonymous11 years ago
I'm not even who I dream to be now.
by Anonymous11 years ago
I wanted to be a sniper assassin as a kid... And uh... Can't tell ya how that's going
by Anonymous11 years ago
I think I would be a little disappointed.
by Anonymous11 years ago
As a child I thought I'd be a straight cis female and let me tell you something about how that turned out
