Nope. They all multiplied 12 and 2 first then divided that by 48. You were supposed to divide 48 by 2 first (after you solve for parenthesis) THEN multiply 24 by 12. In order of operations, multiplication and division rank equals and are supposed to be solved left to right, multiplication doesn't come before division but people think it do because PEMDAS shows M then D. It should be more like P.E.(M or D solve this way ->) (A or S solve this way ->)

48/2(9+3) 48/2*12 24*12 24 times 12 is 288 PEMDAS Multiplication and division are on the same level, so you do whichever operation comes first in the problem. Why did you write it as 48/2 first? You have to add nine and three because of PEMDAS. You should end up with 48/2(12). Now you have to do multiplication so you would get 48/24. Thus, this equals to two. This is not a joke.

9+3=12 48/2=24 42x12=288 You multiplied 2x12 first if you got 2, multiplication doesn't automatically come first, multiplication and division rank equally and you do them in order of left to right. Also, voting your own comment up is like high five-ing yourself.
