+2,833 In movies, the Eiffel tower can be seen from any window of any building in Paris, amirite?

It actually can be seen in a lot of places around the city, though.

True, but not as many places as you'd think from these T.V shows and movies...if you're not close to it already or at least in a tall building looking out a window, you most likely wont see it...I personally toured Paris for three days before seeing the Eiffel Tower for the first time without ever catching a glimpse of it.

I agree, I can see the Eiffel tower from my window, but it's only because I live on the 12th floor, which is a little bit unusual in Paris...

@207420 (Anonymous): Yeah, you don't see many tall buildings in Paris (except the Eiffel Tower, of course. But that was only built for a convention thing), but it's a beautiful city. I'm jealous that you get to live there! :)

If you live in paris why are you talking in english?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Because I learned English at school... Mais je peux te parler en Français si tu veux, et te dire que tu es un peu bête...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Hahaha I like the French part. And I agree...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

But there are a few grammatical mistakes...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I think they do that so the audience knows that it's Paris.

I think Paris also has some kind of building height restriction, which explains why there aren't many skyscrapers and the Tower being so visible @205822 (Anonymous): They do, but it's kind of hilarious how often that cheap and easy way of signifying a locale in entertainment is used.
