+17 Faith is to believe what you do not see -- and the reward of this faith is to see & achieve what you believed. And faith itself is not something to grasps, it is a state we grow into. Amirite?

To me, the idea of "believing" as in //unshakable// is uncomfortable. Yes, I believe I will have breakfast this morning, but something might prevent that. I don't believe that the information available in textbooks, on the internet, from experts is ever //true//. I do believe it is a __best guess__ based on their understanding of the subject; but I do not believe it is carved-in-stone knowledge. I do not believe the human mind //can// or even //should// possess any __absolute__ knowledge. That is why I find faith uncomfortable. There is nothing I want to believe in with such desire that I must take it on faith. I am very happy assuming that every bit of information available to me is tainted and inaccurate. I find comfort in living in a world that does not support absolute truths. For me, "seeing and achieving" some arbitrary level of knowledge/understanding is not a desirable goal, in fact I assume that it would become a barrier to continuous growth and learning. So faith has no appeal to me, because I neither want to "grasp" knowledge nor "grow into" knowledge, I prefer a journey with no destination, for then I will always enjoy constant discovery with no false sense of achievement. The reward is the walk not the terminus.
