Constant ignorance is a crime towards humanity, amirite?
by Anonymous9 years ago
Not if you're a hermit.

not in the most basic sense
we are all always constantly ignorant
all the time
it can't be helped
by Anonymous10 years ago
The biggest crime I can comment
is to think for even one second
that I am anything but ignorant.
Failure to seek knowledge is a crime,
failure to find it is a sign of intelligence.
Believe that it is found is sign of insanity.

Do you think there are levels of ignorance? I firmly believe the wise know they dont know everything but at the same time Id prefer not to be labeled the same as white supremacists or other such beliefs.

I am always willing to agree on definitions.
I don't think someone who believes that they are somehow superior to others in the eyes of their god is ignorant, I think he is in desperate need of enlightenment.
But if we are calling him "ignorant" than I agree with OP, because that belief is a crime against humanity.

I've never thought about it that way to be honest, I wrote this thinking about those who remain ignorant to issues directly related to them, and only hinder the path towards progress with their backwards thinking.

Once I read this post, I knew you would disagree lol.
by Anonymous10 years ago
No matter how much we know or think we know, there will always be something new to learn.
by Anonymous10 years ago
What about the mentally retarded or handicapped? If I read your post correctly, these people would all be a crime to the rest of us.
by Anonymous10 years ago
Taking it a bit too far there, bud.
by Anonymous10 years ago
Why? Aren't they "ignorant"? Just because I saw a side of it someone else did not does not mean I went too far.
by Anonymous10 years ago
If you nitpick at every word people say, you could take it too far. Nearly every statement has it's loopholes, but yes, I guess you're right, it was silly of me not to include "except those mentally-challenged"
by Anonymous10 years ago
That is all I was saying.....I see things a little broader than just what is on the surface. It isn't nitpicking for my generation - it is seeing things for what they are and from many angles.
by Anonymous10 years ago
What generation is that, may I ask. Because I see nitpicking as a more timeless thing.

Baby Boomer

It's not only a crime towards humanity, but much worse, a crime towards yourself. And you wouldn't even know you're doing it!
by Anonymous10 years ago
here's your chance
by Anonymous10 years ago
Ignorance isn't the crime for ignorance is something which defines us. Allowing oneself to stay ignorant is the crime
by Anonymous10 years ago
No, hyperbole is 😀
by Anonymous9 years ago
I'm just replying to find out how to make that face
by Anonymous9 years ago
😀

Oh

Think of something that makes you happy, and pull up on your cheeks to curve your lips up and maybe even expose your teeth.
by Anonymous9 years ago
Too hard
by Anonymous9 years ago
Constant ignorance is a crime towards the one who started humanity more than humanity itself.
by Anonymous9 years ago
ironic as what i'm about to say, I don't follow this at all. Care to clarify?
