+266 The whole point of a pencil is the eraser, amirite?

.. and that is why I hate it when some pencils are made without flippin' erasers.

The point of it is graphite.

Pencils are known for being erasable. That's why they are used in grade school, math, drawing, etc. Without the eraser they'd basically be dull pens that smudge gray, and no one would use them because who wants to go through the hassle of sharpening or refilling graphite in mechanical ones when they can't even erase?

I'm pretty sure that she is being a smartass saying that the point of the pencil is made of graphite, not that the purpose of the pencil is graphite.

I'm not quite sure why, but I'm pretty sure I have the feeling I am being a smart ass, in saying that the point of the pencil is made of graphite, and not that the purpose of the pencil is graphite. wary

They have erasable pens, too.

And we all know they suck because they leave behind residue...at least the ones I've used.
