I'm homeschooled. and i'll be the first to say, i'm not normal. who wants to be normal anyway?? BUT there are some homeschooler who are VERY unsocial. I say that people would call them very abnormal! but yeah, there are abnormal people very where!

i thinks its reallly cool im thinking when i have kids i eant to ...kids at my skool do lots of pot and already have had sex they cers to much and are every disrespectful ...and critizie ....i think being home skool is one of the coolest things....and u still have friends [put them in sports].i think its mean to think home skoolers are weird cuz im in a public skool ...and im sooooo weird [i like it]

I'm home-schooled, and my sisters were as well. (One's graduated and one's in college.) And every time someone asks them where they went to school and their answer is "I was home-schooled my whole life." they always freak out and say "But, you're like...Normal...". Although, I do understand where you're coming from. I know a lot of kids that are extremely antisocial and give us all a bad name, but saying that every home-schooler is "Weird" is just like saying every color looks the same. =P

Well, I don't think being homeschooled is a bad thing because my best friend is 14, she has had 5 long-term relationships and she has never been dumped. Not exactly "normal" but it seems to work out for her!

My cousins (4-9 y/o) are home-schooled, they have zero social skills, and are incredibly disobedient in social situations. IMEO no kid should be home-schooled for high-school, and middle-school is questionable. It deprives the kids of the opportunity to develop social skills necessary to function in society.

So you're saying that based on one family you've seen that all homeschooled kids lack social skills? There are many homeschool groups and co-eds where a bunch of homeschoolers get together and learn and play and interact. Many homeschoolers actually are adept in social situations because of these homeschool groups.
