I was going to say that. They need to know the quickest route back to the airport.

Many Rochesterians are fond of eating a dish called a "garbage plate". Don't let them talk you into trying one. Disgusting.

The big cities in the Continent:
- Put your bag in front of your on the subway with your hand on it.
- Some of the "fancy" restaurants don't have better food that the normal ones.
- Careful of the taxis in the airport. Sometimes they are "private" taxis that cost you almost double than what you would normally pay for.
- Don't walk alone at night. Have at least two other people with you.

Madeira.
- if in summer, if you have light skin, there's no such thing as too much sunscreen. Believe me, you will look like a lobster by the end of a day if you're not careful.
- it's a touristic place, so be careful with some business, especially on the most touristic areas. They have insanely high prices on their products. Only a few are worth it.
- I recommend tasting Bolo do Caco, Espetada Madeirense, Lapas, Bolo de Mel da Madeira(I don't like it, but many people do), Sandes de Carne Vinha-d´alhos, Milho Cozido/Frito da Madeira (you can try eating it with Cebolada or some fish)...
- If you're driving, and it's raining, be careful. We have a lot of ups and downs, and some very narrow roads. If you're not an experience driver, it can give you problems.
- If you're choosing a time to visit Madeira, I recommend New Years Eve.
- Also, the hiker tracks are good in Summer. Not in Winter. In Winter there's mud and some tracks get dangerous if it rains.

Edit: I think I went with too much detail xD

You have less odds of being blown up by a terrorist than you do in Europe, however, you have a higher risk of being killed for perceived political beliefs.

That the documentaries they see about all the dangerous animals are really only an issue in a small area in the far tropical north. Also, if they go swimming in the ocean to swim near the lifeguarded areas as we have a lot of rips.

When visiting Arizona, tear the map in half. If it's winter, throw away the top half. If it's summer, throw away the bottom half.
