+231 It's stupid that people put an age limit on love, amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

it really depends on the context...

I don't know, it's pretty disgusting if you're 20 and the guy you're in "love" with is 80. Or even worse if you're only 16 and the guy you're dating is like 30.

I meant like, when people say "You're 14, you can't be in love." But I agree, that is pretty gross.

General creepiness formula: Don't date younger than (Your age/2) + 7. So if you're 18, don't date anyone younger than 16, etc. Not completely foolproof (considering you could have a 22-year old college grad dating an 18-year old high school student).

What's wrong with a 22 y/o college grad dating an 18 y/o high-school student? It only breaks when the numbers go too low, like with the odd amount of middle-schoolers on this site. Ages 13 and under are broken, the allowable age starts being older rather than younger. This is why I add the following rule: If your under age 14 you too young to seriously date anyone at all, even people your own age.

Well, let's see... They're legal adults, with drinking rights and all that jazz, and they're going to be romantically involved with someone who just became able to vote? And who probably has only decided recently what college they're going to attend? Yeah.

yeah but usually when a person is 14 they will say 'I love you" to their significant other or, "we'll be together forever!" and are broken up in a week

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I think there's definitely a certain maturity level you have to have. And I agree, it's totally retarded when people like 12 and 13 say "We'll be together forever" cause chances are, they won't. But I think you can definitely love someone, even if you're a freshman, or a sophmore.

@138677: Looks like some people didn't have any relationships until they were over twenty, and decides that everyone should have to wait because they didn't know how to get ahead of the game.
