Not really, during the winter the sun sets lower in the horizon. And if you're driving the sun is always right below that visor thing you pull down to block it. Now if they wear them at night that's kinda weird.

Not to mention the bright sun shining off white snow. I hardly ever go outside without sunglasses in winter
