How many hammers do you own?

Top Comment

I have a few around here but had many many when I was doing collision work. Then I had a whole tool box drawer full of different kinds. Retired from that years ago and just have a couple of household hammers now.

A few years ago i bought a Mig welder, having never done any welding before, except messing around with stick welding once or twice for a few minutes..

I have a brother that is a good welder too.
He explained to me, how to do it and in about 30 minutes....i had it good enough to get the job done..

Actually, I quite like hammer drills. The only real problem I have with them is the screws. When you try to attach something wooden to concrete, you would need a screw that bites both - but it just doesn't happen. That's where my genius is about to come to play. I will **** invent a screw, that works on anything.

I suppose you'd call it literary fiction. I finished my 2nd attempt at writing a novel earlier this year.

The working title is The Navajo Sign. took me 4 years to do. It is going through a 1st editing right now. It has a ways to go before being presented any publishers.

I'm currently writing a story I call On a Caribbean Tide. it is a completely different story from last one.

I don't even know, how to explain my writings. I am probably the worst science fiction / humor fantasy writer ever in the whole wide world. I haven't sold that many copies, probably twenty? And... Uhhmm... I write about completely off-the-tongue stuff, where people do totally absolutely weird stuff and some of them have become cyborgs as well! :D :D I don't find writing silly stuff hard, but obviously it's not good, when it comes to selling stuff.

I'm considering a story about a sailor... The work name is "There Will Be Dragons."

And he goes about, despite what everybody thinks is madness... And he finds an island, where the dinosaurs are still alive and well, after spending millions of years in caves, that helped them to survive and evolve into a new kind of an intelligent being. I'm not certain, where to go with the story yet...

See now that is a fresh idea. And since it is science fiction the imagination door is wide open for you.

In my book The Navajo Sign I was able to delve into some of the ancient tribal stories of possible dimensional travel that some of the Hopi tribes tell of that include beings not of this world.

The story is not science fiction. But it deals with real tribal beliefs and customs that have been handed down from generation to generation for perhaps thousands of years.

Doing the research was quite fascinating and enlightening.

Hopi are actually - believe me on this - one of the few cultures on Earth to have dealt with the "sky people" they mention about. I was working as a 'consultant' meaning I was the liaison officer between NATO and Finland. And I met actual aliens. Different races, stuff you ** wouldn't believe, and I just... Found it so stupid, when people were off telling me to ** off, when I told them about the stuff, that I had seen and knew it was real.

Then I'd say you do have a great of wealth of information for writing science fiction.

Of course if you started writing stories that were a little too close to the truth then I think the men in black suits and cars would be on your door step.

MIB are real.

The movies are just silly comedies, with absolutely no relation to the real MIB. Most of them are interdimensional forms resembling humans, but some are more like robots, it varies - ever see a blue flash and there's an older model fifties car, then I'd say you are going to be ****, B.

You do know there are vintage tractors and motorcycles.

You know I'm having a little fun here. However where it concerns other worldly beings being here among us my mind is open to that idea.

With untold billions, perhaps trillions of planets out there and time being a linear thing with no end.

It seems unlikely that we are the only corporeal beings to occupy all the vastness of what we call space.

Even for the native people, we have absolutely no idea, how to write our language properly. I'm a high school graduate, and I have no idea, what the hell can I do with markings. Less in English. I don't know, when I can use a semi-column, I just take a guess.

Hey so do a lot of published authors. I had someone tell me once as I lamented about my severe lack where it concerns my knowledge of the proper use of the English language.

They told me not to worry about it. They said a farmer doesn't have to how to polish the apples he grows he just needs to grow them.

In other word just write and let others put the polish on your work.
