She calmed down enough to creep easily through the thick brambles...toward the sound....yes...she remembered that gorgeous...lovely crashing of waves from her childhood...then at another, rather musical sound she dropped to the ground to see...it sounded like people laughing... ....they appeared to be moving toward the sound of the waves....

But, still, just the sound...
And that black shape, still behind, almost, almost forgotten.
As she leaned into the laughter, another sound, from behind. And, oh, the odor, moist and full. Rotting fish?

Shocked, she shuddered slightly. Why she'd almost forgotten her fear of that black shape... She spin around, again. There was a beast lurching toward her! It was huge...a black blobby shape...with a mouth like a moon crater! And, there was that smell coming from his/her/its mouth... The beast stopped, and took a lonngg look in her direction...

The sound of laughing was quiet but clear as she dropped down again (here she thought irrelevantly...I always seem to be either spinning around or dropping down in this movie...) The brambles had switched to long grass...a while ago and as she stumbled on...half dropping...she suddenly came upon an interesting sight...

Stones, boulders, really. As black as the night sky, flecked with white, again a mimic, like stars. So large, lined like solders, a wall.
But, she had lived here for years. Had hiked these fields, woods and hills in every direction. She knew there was no coast, no wall, no black beast...yet here they all seemed to be. With her senses overloading she.....

Grimly kept going....what kind of fresh hell was this...? Had she slipped through some portal...and was she transferred to Stonehenge? She'd never been...was it either Stonehenge or perhaps the walls of castle...

Ganglamead? She had only read of it in books. Fantasy, thought she.
With a confused and foggy mind, she looked back. The beast? What became of the beast.
The odor, gone. As she gazed back upon the oddly shaped and colored bouldered wall, she realized that this crater mouthed, dark figure was now before her, as still as the structure it stood before. A sentinel, surely. She was drawn, as though the muted laughter was her invitation.
A tentative step, then another.......
