Explained by GenerallySpeaking...

Ashes to ashes, dust to dust. From Earth the oil is extracted. To the Earth it returns.

Because it generally passes through any water source on it's way back towards the inner depths of the planet, and that tends to kill things.

Oil is lighter than water so how does it get there.

Ok physics 101. Water has a higher specific molecular weight than oil molecules.

So oil cannot pass through water.

Ok, I'll save us both time. The oil will sit on top of the water until the sun burns out. Gravity will not make the oil sink to the bottom of the cup.

But having said that, in the natural environment because crud oil is a natural element so to speak There are microbes that break down crude oil to its more elemental parts.

In fact as we saw during the BP oil spill there are microbes that consume the oil. Effectively returning it to the environment from which it came.

I'm not from Cambodia. I'm in Cambodia. My world is not limited and narrow minded. Get out of the bubble, broaden your horizons, and learn other cultures.

Not only does it come from the ground, but the products we make from it are far cleaner than the crude oil they come from.
