What are your favourite albums released between 1980 and 1989?

Mine are: Tango in the Night by Fleetwood Mac (1987), Let's Dance by David Bowie (1983), Tracy Chapman's eponymous album from 1988, A Momentary Lapse of Reason by Pink Floyd (1987) and, of course, Purple Rain by Prince (1984). There are **** HEAPS of other great ones, but these are my ABSOLUTE faves. How about yours? Maybe you'll be as surprised as I was at how difficult it is to narrow them down. (Let's stick to like...around 5 max? Whatever you want, tbh, but be chill lmao)

Too many to mention but they are all heavy metal bands. Metallica, Slayer etc. That was the first kind of music I was ever interested in.
