Do you read the prologues in the beginnings of books?

Top Comment

Yup. The story isn't complete without it.

Always! Best way to see what the book is going to be like. Yeah, I always read them. One author I read always has a past time in the prologue and then the book starts in the present day.

PROLOGUE:

Usually. Especially if it's a single book, or part of a series that I haven't read the prior books.

A prologue is generally part of the story proper; it shouldn't be skipped. I don't always read every introduction or preface, however, as sometimes these may give away plot points.
