Nope. I never get the opportunity to mow and trim as much as I would like. Soon it will be time for pretty plants with flowers - then my place looks really nice compared to others around me.

The streets are narrow, gray and noisy but it's close to my university and markets. The neighborhood I used to live in before was nice but far away from the place I need

We live on a walkway with three bungalows and mines in the middle, I've added a porch and changed my windows to Georgian style and put in a bowed window and we have all different colored roses along the front and ours looks so much nicer than the others, everyone says they love our place, but we did it for ourselves not others...

My lawn is a lovely montage of violets, wild strawberries, dandelions, clover and an occasional blade of grass.

Most likely not. I live in a small, rural town spread out over a lot of land. When they get enough people together for a parade, there's no one left to watch. I can live without the accolades.....because I love my quiet piece of land

My home is kind of back off the road to really see but since I just bought it a couple of months back, it's painted nice and the yards look great! I'm happy with it and get a few comments here and there. I was always one to keep my house looking tip top!

I'm honestly not sure if there even is a envy of this neighborhood... I know two houses have better veiws, but I've been in one and it's not as nice on the inside as outside (tons of stairs and a weird layout)

My residence has grass, a tree, and a sidewalk. Some places in town have grass, a couple have a tree, but the only other places with sidewalks are the post office and the grocery store.

Odd fact: This town of Pop. 396 has SIX churches!

A long time ago a lot of trucking companies hated Arizona. They ordered their drivers to get all they needed before entering the state and then drive all the way across without stopping. That is what kept Winterhaven, CA alive, the first town across the Imperial Sand Dunes and the last town on US 80 before the state line. The freeway changed that, but the town lives on because the crop pickers buy food at the grocery store and about 20,000 winter visitors camp nearby. The housing market is so poor that some campers buy a lot just to park their RV when they come.

Yuma, AZ is just over the river, walking distance, so we do actually have stores and stuff just like civilized folks. Yuma has its own problems, though, and the new part of town is now four miles from the river. The city government now owns most of downtown because nobody wanted to pay taxes on the property.

And the reason my father decided to buy in this town instead of Yuma was that California had no sales tax on food at the time.

I love our home front and back. We have worked very hard to make it this way. I love when people come inside, I love color and it shows. The looks I get are funny, they either love or hate it. Fortunately most love it๐Ÿ˜Š
