I hear variations of it all the damn time. I told this one kid that I was Cuban because he asked where my family's from (most people just assume I'm of some sort of European descent) and he flipped a shit. He went on about how I should wear contacts instead of glasses, get a buzz-cut, feign interest in sports... ugh. This kid is really uptight about (his definition of) racism too.

And how is that? Expecting people of one race to act a certain way is just as unfair as expecting people of one age to act a certain way.

Well, it depends. If a ten-year-old is going off sleeping around, I think it's fine to tell them to act their age because they are a kid and cannot handle adult responsibilities. If a 40 year-old man is married and has kids, should he be going off partying seven days a week like he did in college when he now has a family to be taking care of?

If a Mexican is off walking about in USA, is it fine to tell him to go back to Mexico like where most people his race are? Is it fine to tell African people to speak Afrikaans and live in a desert? No. Assigning behaviour to ages to me is just as unfair. People are just more used to doing it, so they don't see it as bad. 12 years old being too young for sex and 40 years old being too old for fun are just perceptions of society. Physically, there is nothing about a 40 year old human that makes him NEED to do certain things instead of others.

I know it was just an example, but what would a 10-year old know when it comes to sex besides that's how babies are made and a penis and vagina are needed for it( they don't teach gay sex in schools)?

Haha, I made my example really young to show that age does matter some of the time! A ten-year-old should definitely act their age when it comes to things like sex.
