I just read The Outsiders and this was in it. I LOOOVE this poem.

(PoliticalTeen.): Oh yeah, I really enjoyed that book too. Robert Frost's poems are all deep like that; he's a great poet. T.S.Elliot also has a bunch of great poems. Poe as well (he's one of my favorites). Look at me here, naming poet after poet. I'm such a nerd. You probably don't care, but I can refer you to a bunch of other great ones if you want.

You only named three of the most famous poets of the last 200 years. Poets that are covered in most low-level college, or high-level high-school literature classes. Not really nerdy. Add Shakespeare, Chaucer, Whitman, Keats, Shelley, Byron, Hughes, and a few others and you get a list of commonly known poets. Seamus Heaney, Federico Garcia Lorca, Denise Levertov, Vladimir Mayakovsky, Arthur Rimbaud, Jorge Luis Borges, these are poets who you get nerd cred for.

(A Nerd): Yea, you get +1 nerd point my friend. I simply claimed nerd status for getting excited enough to mention several of my favorite poets after seeing someone mention loving one poem.
