+412 It's annoying when people say they aren't a good "drawer". The term is artist. A drawer is something in your kitchen, bathroom etc. amirite?

I like your post but the two online dictionaries I just checked say otherwise.

The dictionaries are probably right but calling yourself a drawer sounds weird.

It does, ahaha. It's like saying "drawer" (thing you close) but with an accent of some sort.

if people understand me enough to correct me, then correcting me is a waste of time

God, I hate when people at my school say, "I want to be a professional drawer." If you just repeat that to yourself to can tell it sounds funky

I believe the word can be used either way. And as Chromana said, there are many different aspects of being an artist.

Well it depends on what you create... If you're a "drawer", you create drawings. If you're an "artist", you create art, which is at a much higher level than just a regular drawing. I for one don't count myself as an artist yet which is why I call myself a drawer.
