having a soul mate is unrealistic. you're compatible with many different people, amirite?
by Anonymous13 years ago
Compatibility is not the same idea as a soulmate...

6.8 billion in the world, most of them in aisa. Good luck
by Anonymous13 years ago
Yes, the likelihood that out of ~6.9 billion people you happened to find that ONE true "soulmate" is astronomically low.
by Anonymous13 years ago
It's also naive to think that you have one.
by Anonymous13 years ago
I agree

If you get married to an amazing person, then he/she dies in a wreck or something, then you get re-married, which one was supposed to be your soul mate?
by Anonymous13 years ago
this comment really makes you think . . .
by Anonymous13 years ago
Why can't you have more than one?
by Anonymous13 years ago
I never really thought about it like that, but I guess you could. The only problem is that if you had your first soul mate, someone who is absolutely perfect for you, how could you have another one who is a completely different person but still absolutely perfect for you? And how could you really consider the second one a soul mate, because he/she would really just be seconds?
by Anonymous13 years ago
Because unless you're really picky or refuse to believe that nobody can measure up, then there has to be someone else you're compatible with and can fall in love with. More or less half the world population is one gender; it cannot be that you're only perfect with ONE person. And it's not that they're seconds, it's that you met them second. Or you realized their worth second.

There can be a multitude of your soulmates I mean people get married all the time and at least half of them stay with each other.
by Anonymous13 years ago
I think that the idea of there being a person who is your soul mate is far-fetched. It's a nice idea, though...
I think that there are many people on Earth who everyone insists are 'perfect' for you...
Like everyone insists that this one guy and I must be soul mates. Umm... no. Just because we have similar mannerisms doesn't mean we are 'fated' to be together.
I choose my own fate.

Marriage is about timing
by Anonymous13 years ago
yeah, I think the idea of soulmates is ridiculous. there are probably hundreds of thousands - if not millions - of people in the world who would be absolutely perfect for you, but you only have the opportunity to meet and fall in love with a few of them. that doesn't make them your soulmate.
by Anonymous13 years ago
I don't believe in regular soulmates, that are fated. I think that if two people love each other they can become soulmates.
by Anonymous13 years ago
That's the best way to put it, you have to work to form a deep connection. Some people just vibe each other right off the bat.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Ya, I think there's no such thing as love at first sight, but there is attraction at first sight, which would definitely help.
