You wonder if there are colors the human eye can't see, amirite?
by Anonymous12 years ago
In fact, there are lots of colors/things that we can not see
by Anonymous13 years ago
exactly, the human eye compared to others, quite frankly sucks
by Anonymous13 years ago
can't animals see things we can't too?
by Anonymous13 years ago
Yeah, the human eye only sees a small fraction of all of the colours in the world, we only see the ones in our range. For example, ultraviolet and X-ray are colours that exist, but our eyes cannot interpret. :P

No, I don't wonder about that, because I know it's true.

I know there are tons of colors we can't see, so I don't wonder about that.
I /do/ wonder what they are, though.

There is, and it's called Ultraviolet. Violet is the color which has the shortest wavelength of visible light, and ultraviolet has a shorter wavelength, so that's why you can't see it. Some animals can see it, though.

There's more than that. Apparently shrimp can see a shit load of colors we can't.

Radio, microwaves, infrared, ultraviolet, X-rays, and gamma waves.

If we could see ultraviolet, it'd be hilarious to watch people put on sunscrean.

Someone should slap you...

I was going to go in depth about colors and wavelengths, but it looks like many people beat me to it.
