First of all, plowing snow probably IS his job, or one of them... Second, he takes off the plow to go elsewhere ;)

.... Of course plowing the snow is his job. That was implied... What the OP meant was if plowing the snow is his job, then how does he get to work because the snow hasn't been plowed yet and the roads are still blocked because he hasn't plowed it yet because he hasn't gotten to work yet...

he owns a plow truck. at his house. so to "get to work" he gets in and starts plowing. done.

By car. Or by foot, or by bike, or by bus, depending on what he decides on. Also, I can't answer yes or no to this because it's not worded correctly.
