Declaring war is just a permit to let you kill a lot of people, amirite?
by Anonymous12 years ago
***and letting the other person kill a lot of YOUR people. It's not one sided.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Yeah... I never understood how "I can kill more of your people than you can of mine" makes someone right in an argument between nations.
by Anonymous12 years ago
It isn't always just an argument.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I couldn't really come up with a better word. With any situations between two nations, killing a bunch of people doesn't make one side right. It just makes a bunch of people dead.

Once again, it isn't about proving who is right. It's all about power: whether it's getting power, or stopping someone else from getting power.

To some people. I mean, when you win a war, everyone assumes that the winning side is right in whatever matter was being fought over. But it doesn't make them right.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Not really. Do I think the Romans were right to conquer most of Europe? No. Would I think the Holocaust was right if the Nazis won? No. Do I think communism is right because the North Vietnam won in the Vietnam War? No.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Do you think communism is a bad thing, really?
by Anonymous12 years ago
Yes.
by Anonymous12 years ago
...... okay... Makes you sound pretty ignorant, though.
by Anonymous12 years ago
No it doesn't. I personally think communism is a bad thing because it isn't a system that I would not like living in. So for me, yes, it is a bad thing. Other people like communism and thats fine for them. Economically it works fantastically, but I'm personally not a fan.
And by the way, I said "do I think communism is right" not "do I think communism is good" earlier. Communism isn't "right" because that implies that everything else is wrong. No form of government is perfect. And how the hell does replying to a yes or no question with "Yes" make me sound ignorant?
