anything is considered a weed if you don't want it there if you want a bunch of dandelions, then they're not weeds but if someone has a garden and doesn't want dandelions (or anything else) then it's a weed what you're saying doesn't make sense

They're categorized as weed because you can't stop them from growing everywhere. And whether or not plants are categorized as weed doesn't really have anything to do with the way they look.
