I've actually been reading a lot about porn lately - one of the reasons why I don't watch it anymore - and mainstream porn now is what was considered super-hardcore or gonzo twenty years ago. And, it's seeped into popular culture, with porn-y things on advertisements, television, music and music videos, etc. And it does effect people in negative ways.
