+531 Dear everyone, all christians are not psycho, bible thumping, gay-hating, goody two-shoes, annoying, cram-religion-down-your-throat kind of people. Granted, some are, but a large portion of us are not, amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

thank you so much i try to be as nice and religious as possible, and if the time comes i might try to talk them into trying it, but i don't wanna force them to thats why i don't want my kids Baptized til 15, want them to make their own decisions

by Anonymous 13 years ago

yes, exactly. i believe in god, maybe you don't. so? i won't quit talking to you because we have different beliefs. if you want to discuss it, then i'll give my opinion. a lot of people tell me i sound 'too intelligent to be a chiristian'. i find that offensive...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

wow im pretty offended by that last sentence

by Anonymous 13 years ago

i know, since when do christians have to be unintelligent? and people also say 'you cuss, you aren't christian!' (back to the goody two-shoes thing) well i do a lot of things, i have fun, cuss, make perverted jokes sometimes, but that has NOTHING to do with my spirituality...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

haha I actually am a little goodie two shoes, like i try not to cuss, and i wait till marriage, cuz they ARE sins nstuff but perverted jokes i don't think are ya i do cuss, and most of the time i regret it, and im known as that crazy, weird, but funny guy at my school, who replaces cuss words with other words, like "the s word" with "shoes" like "this place smells like shoes" or "those are the shoes man hecks ya" and that unintelligent Christians? stupid, not wise just stupid

Baptism is for the parent, you do it when they are young when they are young. The confirmation (is essentially a second and willing baptism) is the one that actually matters, done when they are old enough to know what they are doing. If they aren't confirmed, then they generally aren't an acknowledged member of the church.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

baptism isn't for the parent, a person is baptized to make a public announcement that they are christian and have decided to follow Christ

by Anonymous 13 years ago

i was confirmed at 14, and i still wasn't ready. (i'm 15 now.) that was just the age when my church and school decided we should be confirmed. my brain and my opinions have changed since then, and i know now that i shouldn't have gotten confirmed then, i wasn't ready. but according to the church, i can't undo it or redo it, it's a permanent thing that even though i may have screwed it up the first time, i can't fix it. so i think baptism and confirmation should happen whenever the person who is undergoing them decides they should.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

its a cult ritual, doesnt mean shit

by Anonymous 13 years ago

how do you "screw up" a confirmation? you either acknowledge it or you don't, i don't really understand why it would need to be "fixed"

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You're awesome =]

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Man I wish I lived where you live! Everyone I no more or less fits your discription! But I guess there is hope of normal people out there! Stay strong!!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Ohhh, why can't there be more Christians like you where I am! Every time someone asks me if I believe in God I instantly get bombarded with 'Oh dear, you know you're going to hell, right?'

by Anonymous 13 years ago

THANK YOU. You do not know how HARD it is to live your life in Christ's example. I've gotten a person call me "holy" once..I was like umm, I'm definitely NOT holy as much as I wish to be. I appreciat the post because it'S honestly true.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm a straight Christian, and I support gay rights/marriage. Let them be gay, they're not hurting anyone.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I completely agree! Just because a person is gay doesn't mean that they should be denied human rights or be considered inhuman.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Its true they should not be denied rights but no matter what it still sin. In the bible it says that no sin is greater or worse. Its the same as lying or cheating or stealing. We shouldn't persecute them unless were going to do the same to those who commit adultery, lie, kill, and any other sin.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

bahaha, this post just makes it worse for you guys. just stop. (:

by Anonymous 13 years ago

this thread is full of people who are going to hell according to their bible, they don''t take their religion seriously. if you read the Bible theres a list of people you should hate/kill and strict things you msut do on certain days

by Anonymous 13 years ago

gah stfu stop shoving the bible down my throat.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

im saying christians are the only religion who thinks "accept god n jesus and ill automatically get into heaven"

by Anonymous 13 years ago

not necessarily. you have to live a decent life. you can't just do that, and have nothing to show for it.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

People have a really twisted idea of what a christian is. As a christian we shouldn't hate, but try our hardest to bring everyone to Jesus Christ. It's all about forgivness. And yes, the Bible does say that gay marriage is a sin. *But it also says to love your neighbor as yourself.* That is the only thing we need to remember. It's our job as christians to love everyone just as Jesus loved us first. We can not decide when our children accdept Christ, we have no control over that, you can only bring them up in church and christian morals, and pray that they will one day accept Jesus.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Stop cramming religion down my throat? :/

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Is that a question? Also, I don't feel like I crammed anything. You chose to read the comment, and I hope you see christians differently because of it. :)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I didnt read it, I saw the length and capitalized words and chose not to.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

ok. Well it's your choice. Although, I have never heard of someone discriminating against capitalized words before :)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

all i gotta say about all this stupid arguing is that God said to "love your enemy" so let's love!!!! and yeah, some religions have the "same god" and stuff, but it's still not the same religion. if it were, there would just ve muslims and no christians or the other way around. i live my life by the bible and most of the people i know dont but i dont look down on them. so thanks for this post, i feel like it describes me :)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Dude, fuck off. Stop thinking any other religion is your enemy.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

THANK YOU! I was thinking about posting something like this, but you did it for me :) Haha

by Anonymous 13 years ago

K, everyone has got to stop hating on Christains... You say you support gay marrige and everyone should be equal and stuff... But then you go say that Christains are just bible thumping maniacs who don't have a mind for themselves. To me it seems kinda hypocritycal. The only reason Christains are trying to 'convert' people is that they are trying to love everyone... And if you loved someone.. You wouldn't want them to die and go to hell while you will be living in paradise, would you?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

it is definatly a stereoytype that people put on christians... And being a proud athiest myself I have put that sterotype on people... Beca_se people like that just make everyone look like an ass. I respect what you believe. But I don't believe it and I never will... So respect that you believe it or not, don't even start trying to get me to... That's when the sterotype starts

by Anonymous 13 years ago

welllllllllll your precious bible condemns homosexuality. You cant pick and choose which parts of your religion to follow so you're not a true christian.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

before you act like you know what you're saying, dear, you might actually want to read into it, not make it up. homosexuality is NOT condemned, homosexuality is a sin. all sin is equal in god's eye.... thus, homosexuality is the equivalent of lying or having sex before you're married, which are two VERY common sins. just because you sin doesn't mean you aren't a true christian. get the facts right next time, kthnxbai

by Anonymous 13 years ago

typical christian who thinks no matter what sin they commit theyll just ask for forgiveness and be fine, and that guy wasn't making it up the bible tells you to kill homosexuals in Lev.20:13 and again in Rom.1:26-32, is killing not a form of condemning? and do you know God personally for saying all sin is equal in his eye? its a sin to work on sundays, and work does not only equal a job, even lifting something was considered work. no excuse for ambulance drivers, cops, firemen. guess their all going to hell. screw ur cult, im sticking with fucking Zeus

by Anonymous 13 years ago

1. Christians don't think they can "just ask for forgiveness and be fine", all of the people at my church try to actuall not sin to begin with, but is they mess up and realize their mistake(s) they do not simply ask for forgiveness and move on with their lives, like you seem to think. They repent, which means they truly feel sorry for what they did, pray for God to forgive them, and put it to mind to not do whatever that sin was again. 2. The two Bible verses you referenced say that homosexuals deserve death, not for us to kill themm

by Anonymous 13 years ago

3. 1 John 3:4-5 should show you that all sin IS equal in God's eye. 4. You really should learn to reflect your opinion without insulting your oponent(s) because "screw ur cult, im sticking with fucking Zeus" truly made me, and most likely many other Christians (maybe even some non-Christians) lose respect for you and your opinion, seeing as how your entire argument stooped to the level of questioning our beliefs and insulting us instead of attempting to make a valid point.

orginal poster, I love you. I'm so glad that finally someone understands.
