+379 We should have the right to keep our room in whatever condition WE want, because after all, it is OUR room, amirite?

Unless you own the house, then no it's not your room. Your parents have to pay for that room, and provide for it's upkeep so why would they want a messy room with food and drinks and clothes and dirt all around it making it nasty and smell disgusting?

DID YOU PAY FOR IT?! No? Oh then no, it's NOT your room. For pete's sake people, Is it truely that damn hard to keep a room clean?

Consider yourself lucky that you even have a room. I've had friends whose houses were too small for their family and they had to sleep in what used to be the dinning room.

Unless you pay for the home, no it's not yours. Besides, that's gross if you keep all of your dirty clothes and food and stuff everywhere on the floor. Dirty people.

This "mess", as my parents would call it, is actually organized. Really organized. I know where everything is in my room and if I clean it I will instantly start to not be able to find my stuff.

It might be YOUR room but its in THEIR house.

You should probably keep your room in some sort of good condition. However, if your parents are flipping the fuck out over you not keeping it in an absolutely pristine, sanitary condition in which you could literally eat whatever you wanted to right out of the garbage can without getting sick, then there's something wrong with them. Or if they keep THEIR room(s) in trashy condition and spaz at you doing the same.

I sleep on my grandma's couch most of the time, so this post makes me want to throw up.

Shut the fuck up about your parents.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

It's only yours if you pay for it. Trash your own place when you move out.

Using that reasoning, I could say "I can shoot whoever I want with my gun, because it's MY gun"

Adding to that the fact that the fun belongs to someone else.

It might be their room, but literally the ONLY time my parents come in my room is to tell me to clean it. Plus, I am the ONLY one who ever sees it, other than my parents. WHO THE HELL CARES.
