+479 You really don't understand the purpose of the Twilight Saga covers and what they have to do with anything in the story, amirite?

It's not a saga.

I hate Twilight, but I used to love it so I'll explain it anyway :D Book 1, the apple symbolises the fact that Edward is 'forbidden fruit', like in the Bible. Book 2, tulips are a symbol of undying love and it's torn because Bella thinks her love is gone. Book 3, the torn ribbon stands for the fact that Bella is getting kinda estranged from her friends and family, so it's like the ribbon thats connecting them is torn and frayed. Book 4, the red chess queen among the pawns symbolises Bella's move from not-so-important to the most important person in the series.

and by the way, I totally agree with you: HP does make sense.

How was Bella unimportant to the series? It's from her point of view! (Well, Stephenie Meyer's ideal point of view.)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

its not that she was unimportant, its like at the very beginning bella was just a normal girl that you see every day, but at the end she's a powerful girl that everyone in the book basically loves. it symbolizes her going from a weak person to the most powerful. make sense?

the apple is choice. stephenie meyer said she didn't choose the flower, but most people agree that it is wilting like Bella The ribbon is torn because she is torn between Edward and Jacob *SPOILER ALERT* The little red pawn is Bella at first and then the queen is her at the end because she is stronger, as well as paler ;)

I don't even understand how the book managed to sell. I'm sorry, I just can't see any worth in it.

The writing in twilight is god-awful. The plot was creative but the writing was so bad it was distracting! At least Harry Potter was well-written. If Stephanie Meyer wrote Harry Potter I would have hated that, too.

Totally agree.
