The British have been a whiney bunch since 1776. You lost. Too bad. America ended up being the World's largest Superpower. If your megalomaniac tyrannical reign hadn't driven driven out those who seek freedom the U.S. Wouldn't exist. At that point you would have lost WW2. There is no way that you wouldn't be under Nazi rule to this day without America forgiving you and joining in. :)
Government austerity measures do not save future generations by reducing debt, they add padding to the coffers for future generations of 1%ers. You and your children will never be 1%ers, face it. Either feed our children now so they can survive, or let our children starve so the 1% can thrive.
In ancient Greece 100% of the resource where owned by 5% of the people, same in Rome. In Egypt one (1) family owned 100% - they same carried through for all of the dark- and middle-ages with less then 5% owning all. During the Renaissance, less then 100 families owned 80% of the land. In pre-revolutionary America 50 families owned 60% of the all the wealth. The "1%" has always been (and will always be) with us. The answer is not to eliminate them, the answer is to make them to pay their fair share of taxes so the rest of us don't have to act immorally just to eat.
