The 90s culture lasted until about 2002 or so; the core of the '90s, the years unquestionably free of 80s or 00s influence, were 1995-1998. I think to be a 90s kid you have to have some good memory of the 1995-1998 period. Therefore, I think that the last true 90s kids were born about 1993, with 1994 and maybe early 1995 being either/or years. I would call, with some degree of person-to-person variation (these are averages) Born 1983-1985 - Early group '90s kid (predominantly '90s kid, but some '80s influence) Born 1986-1989 - Full '90s kid Born 1990-1993 - Late group '90s kid (predominantly '90s kid, but childhood carried on into the 2000s) I was born December 25, 1992.
I agree. I was born in 81 but don't really consider myself an 80's kid. I remember the 80's well but the 90's were much more significant for me. If you're born in the 90's, you really aren't a 90's kid. You're a millennium kid. Even if you were born in 90 you were still in single digits by the end of that decade. Not even human yet.
