Does anyone really believe this? If you gossip you judge.

Yes. Sometimes I'll vent to friends, but I generally do not gossip about people. I get no enjoyment out of doing so.

The concept was written in the Bible more than a millennia before Moliere. In His Sermon on the Mount Jesus said - "You hypocrite! First remove the beam out of your own eye, and then you can see clearly to remove the speck out of your brother's eye."

So many read this to mean to not judge others. I read the whole passage however and see a warning, and instruction as to how and when to judge others. Even Moliere got it right - check yourself out before judging others.

How can we not judge others? Are we just supposed to succumb to anarchy?

I am judging myself 24/7 to ensure that I stay on a path Jesus would approve of.
