“To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.”

That would be an interesting thought, and it could be an interesting topic of discussion if it applied to all presidents. There is an annoyingly huge amount of hypocrisy coming from the far left and far right.
For example, if Hillary were president and someone said this, people would react as though you just quoted Hitler. We're dealing with such a thing in Canada right now. When Harper was prime minister, the left generally said things like what this post is saying, and it *seemed* like these were people who believed in freedom of thought.... but now that we have Trudeau, EVERYTHING the prime minister says is literally the word of god to them, and disagreeing with something is a literal hate crime. I got called something along the lines of a "right-wing redneck" and an "environment hater" when I voiced my concerns about the carbon tax, and how all it's going to do is drive up the cost of living for those who are already barely living pay cheque to pay cheque as it is. That's right, people who claim to be liberal threw a ** fit and defended something that ** over poor people and makes life harder for them, just because Trudeau came up with it. Trudeau also supports the pipeline that liberals used to protest.... but ever since then, the pipeline topic has been eerily quiet.

Isn't it possible to sometimes disagree with your preferred candidate, or sometimes agree with the candidate you don't much care for?

I don't care if anyone online agrees with me about politics or not..

I do my talking, when its time to vote..

Well then, we must be in a very free and patriotic place in America! I think I counted 3, maybe 4 of your posts today - all ripping Trump a new one.

And still you kneel during the anthem. You ungrateful puss!

Maybe you should get me DA'd!

Truth - that which is true or in accordance with fact or reality.

Freedom - the power or right to act, speak, or think as one wants without hindrance or restraint. [If you claim that you can't kill me with impunity - you would be correct and obtuse]

Lot's of people experience both truth and freedom.

People have experienced more freedom under the the US Constitution than any Communist/socialist system that you continue to promote. The comical thing about the Socialist State that people like you promotes, is that you all see yourself at the top of the food chain in a socialist society.
You claim that standing by the President, right or wrong, is morally treasonable. That's because you hate this Country Vic. Like other fascists, you subscribe to the belief of, Nothing against the state". Any type of questioning the government is not to be tolerated. If you do not see things our way, you are wrong. If you do not agree with the government, you cannot be allowed to live and taint the minds of the rest of the good citizens. (This works for you only when the people "you" want in office are in office, the agendas being brought forward, coincide with "your" agendas, and there should be zero accountability for those you follow blindly.)

Oh, how the tables have turned and the hypocrisy continues.

Remember when Republican, Joe Wilson, shouted "You lie" during Barack Obama's speech to Congress on healthcare reform?

Democrats said his outburst showed a lack of respect for the office of the presidency and was reminiscent of Republican activists' heckling at recent public forums to discuss the president's healthcare reforms.

John McCain, Obama's Republican rival for the presidency, said Wilson's behavior was "totally disrespectful". The Arizona senator told CNN: "There is no place for it in that setting, or any other, and he should apologize for it immediately."

The House majority leader, Steny Hoyer, said Wilson's outburst was "a shameful act" and he would work with Republicans in deciding whether to punish him.

The incident resulted in a reprimand by the House of Representatives.

I guess the rules have changed.

There is a difference between heckling and responding. Disrespecting the speaker during hie speech v. issuing your own speech afterward claiming the president was wrong. The first is disrespectful, the second is fair and in keeping with the principles of American freedoms.

ROFLMAO...... The ridiculous levels you go to, to justify the lefts behavior are so comical at times Vic, people just have to shake their head.

Talk about disrespectful, shall I give you a list of the disrespectful behavior by democrat congressmen? Some even go so far as to claim he is not a legitimate president?

By the way.....Joe Wilson's comments weren't heckling. They turned out to be the truth.

I agree. I don't know anyone that has been sent to the gulag for criticizing the President. I do see a lot of people going crazy because the President criticizes back. I'm not saying it's a smart way to persuade people to do what you want them to do, but it's far from illegal.
