I actually just recently came across a study that disproved this. When one becomes more wealthy they can stop thinking less about their immediate futures. They actually have time to invest in themselves and do whatever they want.

Have you noticed that successful people do not post slogans about what success is? They only post negatives. Like "If you can't do such and such you can't make a sale."

My uncle was quite successful and his advice was "If you can't dominate the interview, close your case and get out."
